CLARINET LESSONS with DAVID BLUMBERG
I hold a 55 year record as having been the youngest Clarinet teacher to have taught a Winner of the International Clarinet Association's Young Artist Competition. I was 28 when my High School Junior Michael Rescorla Won 2nd Prize - that International Competition is up to age 27. My home Music teaching Studio is in the Charlotte Suburbs. I am also Clarinet Faculty of the Baldwin Conservatory, and in the Summers previously taught at Bryn Mawr College where I have been Faculty of the Festival "Summer Trios" replacing Juilliard Faculty Member Larry Guy and The Philadelphia Orchestra's International Summer Festival teaching with Ricardo Morales and Boris Allakhverdyan (Principal Clarinetist Los Angeles Philharmonic/Metropolitan Opera). I have taught students from University of Penn, Temple University, and Bryn Mawr College (Bryn Mawr College on Campus by special request, and others at my Studio). I am now located near Charlotte, NC in Fort Mill.
My Email is davidcblumberg (AT) gmail.com
I enjoy teaching students of all ages, as I feel that a really strong foundation is paramount to future excellence. Private students tend to stay with the instrument many more years with study. I want my lessons to be enjoyable!
